MeadowCreek Begins Play in May

For Meadows Valley neighbors craving a chance to tune up their rusty golf swings, MeadowCreek presents an irresistible opportunity—May Madness.  MeadowCreek Golf Resort will open May 4, with some temporary greens.  Play at MeadowCreek during the month of May will only cost $25.  And that includes a cart!  Golf enthusiasts from Council, to McCall, and up to Riggins will enjoy the heartland hospitality that the new MeadowCreek Golf Resort now offers.

All winter, the course has been under the watchful care of celebrated greens keeper Kirk Kundrick.  As the growing season unfolds, Kirk and his crew will be getting the course in shape for the official course opening on Memorial Day Weekend.  In the meantime, as the course receives its preparation, you can play a round at give-away prices.

Golfing fans chafing to get back on the course to begin their seasonal humiliation can get a jump on many of the Idaho mid-state golf courses which are just now shedding their snow and beginning their recovery.  Well-known local golf professional Aaron Ingle is on hand to give lessons and assist players in numerous ways.  So, players can get a jump on the season by hitting a few buckets of balls at MeadowCreek’s driving range, unlimbering their shoulders and hips, jumping in a cart and getting turf on their shoes, maybe taking a lesson.  If practice can truly improve your game, here’s a chance to get some real practice in before golf season gets in swing.  Who, knows?  You might just lower your handicap.

The 27th Annual Meadows Valley Benefit Golf Tournament, aka “The Fosdick” will be held Saturday, August 4 and Sunday, August 5.  This year all events will be held at MeadowCreek Golf Resort including the community dinner, silent and live auctions, and golf tournament.

The Fosdick is celebrating 27 years of extraordinary camaraderie and community support that, over the years, has raised over $327,000.  Those funds have been distributed to non-profit organizations in Meadows Valley including New Meadows Senior Center, education scholarships and variety of school programs, Meadows Valley Library, and the Adams County Historical Society.
